Cruising in Style: 1960 Chevy C10 Crew Cab Custom Build

The fourth generation Chevrolet trucks produced from 1960 to 1966 were available in a variety of models, including the Apache, Viking, and C/K series. The C10 featured a new design with a more modern look and was available in both short and long bed options. It was known for its durability, reliability and its great towing capacity.

The featured Chevy C10 is far from what was popular among farmers, contractors and tradesmen back in the 60’s. This is a one-off custom Crew Cab built to stop traffic. You can’t really expect anything else from a hot rodded truck with the aerodynamics of a brick, but when it comes to attention to detail, this C10 truck is great.

I came across this top shelf custom 1960 Chevy C10 Crew Cab quite a few times during the last couple of years, so I thought I will share it with you all. Part of the Triple B Collection the C10 truck was estimated at around $70,000 when auctioned at Mecum back in 2019. Last time I saw it, the Chevrolet pick up was for sale in Texas.

Gone through a comprehensive frame-off restoration, the 1960 Chevy C10 catches the eyeballs with deep Black paint and shiny chrome. It sits on Air Ride suspension and custom 18-inch Intro wheels. The Lacquered oak bed is beautifully detailed.

The 1960 Chevy C10 engine bay is fitted with a modern 5.3 liter Vortec fortified with a set of stainless steel headers. The power is transferred through 4L60-E automatic transmission with overdrive and 3.73 geared Positraction rear end.
