The 1969 Chevy Nova is a classic muscle car that has stood the test of time and it remains popular among hot rodders. But for those looking to take their Nova to the next level, the Pro Street build is the way to go. With modifications that allow for enhanced performance on the street and strip, Tommy Plumb’s 1969 Nova is a beast.
Although he is not a seasoned professional in the world of muscle car building, Tommy has had the opportunity to learn from some highly skilled individuals in the past. This experience has given him the confidence and knowledge to take on the task of transforming his 1969 Chevy Nova into a stunning Pro Street car entirely on his own.
“My father gave me this 1969 Chevy Nova 25 years ago and have spent countless hours rebuilding it in my shop. My goal was to create a Pro Street car that my father and I could enjoy driving together. It has been a labor of love, and eventually I will pass it down to my grandson Blake so we can create memories that will last a lifetime”
One of the first things that stands out about Tommy’s 1969 Chevy Nova is its cool Olive Green paint with Gold Pearl effect. It’s a color combination that is sure to turn heads. The 4-link suspension and 15×15 Weld Magnum wheels wrapped in 31×18.5 Mickey Thompson rubber at the back add to its aggressive Pro Street appearance.
The Pro Street ’69 Nova sports a 355 Chevy Small Block upgraded with top shelf performance goodies. Eagle crank and rods, Keith Black pistons, Dart Iron Eagle heads, 525 lift Comp cam, Victor Jr. intake and AED 850 carb, Tommy’s car has 450hp on motor and 575hp on the bottle. The power is controlled by Powerglide tranny and 4.11 geared rear.
