Many people question why homeless individuals have pets. But the real concern should only be if the pet is in danger.
Most homeless people care deeply for their pets, often sacrificing their own needs to ensure their pets are fed, warm, and sheltered.

Wilma Frice from Houston, Texas, saw a man outside Walmart holding a sign reading, “Dog in the pound, need help.”

This touched Wilma deeply. The man, named Patrick, wasn’t asking for himself but for his dog, Franklin.
Franklin was in the pound, and Patrick needed $120 to get him out.
Speaking to People.com, Frice said, “He looked like someone kind who’s had a tough time. His eyes showed he was desperate, like a child who lost his toy.”

After helping Patrick, Wilma shared on Facebook:
“I’m amazed. Patrick is great, and so is Franklin. I helped because I hoped someone would do the same for me. I’ve always cared for homeless animals. We could all face tough times suddenly. You can’t judge someone without knowing their story. Always help when you can, because life can change in a moment. I work hard every day to ensure animals are safe and loved, waiting for a forever home. I’ve been blessed with the love of these animals.”
