Child Places Puppy in Park with Heart-Wrenching Note Due to Parental Mistreatment

Child Places Puppy in Park with Heart-Wrenching Note Due to Parental Mistreatment

Life presents us with tough choices, and sometimes they are made by the youngest among us. This was evident when a child took a grave decision recently.

Mascotas Coyoacán was alerted on the 22nd of November about a puppy chained to a park bench.

They found a scared young dog named Max, accompanied by a child’s note revealing he had to leave the dog there due to his parents’ ill-treatment.

Max, renamed as Boston, was eventually freed from his chains and learned that humans can offer love, not just hurt.

Mascotas Coyoacán’s team member shared, “On the 22nd of November, we received an urgent message about a dog chained to a park bench with a note.

Despite the hours that passed, we found him still chained, with well-wishers feeding him from a distance due to his initial aggressiveness.”

The heartfelt note in Spanish read: “Hello, please, adopt me, I’m Max. It breaks my heart to leave him, but I can’t bear to see him suffer under my family’s mistreatment. If you can care for him, please do. Otherwise, leave this note so others might.”

It took time, patience, and expertise to get Boston off that bench. His aggressive behavior was a mask for his sheer terror. Once free, Boston gradually began to trust his rescuers.

As a symbol of his new start, the dog formerly known as Max was renamed Boston. Though initially skittish, he slowly opened up and began to trust, seeking the comfort of his rescuers.

Boston’s initial shelter was a garage due to the unavailability of regular boarding. There, he bonded deeply with one of his saviors, showing a particular apprehension towards men – perhaps a hint at his previous abuser.

After acclimatizing, Boston underwent basic training for a week. This taught him obedience and helped him socialize with other dogs.

Although a potential adoption fell through due to his protective nature, Boston’s journey to find a forever home continues.
