Bogart the Bulldog Is Now The King Of His Street And An Internet Sensation

Bogart, has found joy and fame from a simple hole in his fence from where can take a peep at his neighborhood. His curious nature has not only made him a local favorite but turned him into a viral dog.

Unlike many Bulldogs, Bogart’s lively character makes him a vigilant observer of his surroundings, keeping a keen eye on his street and warmly acknowledging everyone passing by. Nothing escapes Bogart’s watchful gaze, and anyone passing his street feels obliged to greet him – a testament to his local popularity, and now you’ll see why!

His home, the quaint town of Gråsten, Denmark, has found itself in global headlines thanks to Bogart’s unique charm.

Like most of us during the Covid lockdown, Bogart had his ruff time too. He missed roaming freely and the usual bustle of life. To counter his boredom and keep his curiosity at bay without risking him going over the fence, his owners came up with a creative idea.

“Living near a walking path means we see many people passing by each day, and the dogs are always just so curious. We created the holes in the fence to keep them contained, but seeing them peeping through was amusing. I thought it would be even funnier if we painted something around it on the other side,” explains Bogart’s mom, Ranveig Bjørklid Levinsen.

Bogart’s new window to the world was an instant hit. The lockdown pup was thrilled to be able to once again observe the outside world he very much missed. Alongside his mom, Winston, Bogart frequents his lookout spots throughout the day.

The ordinary hole in the fence quickly evolved into a comical spectacle, with paintings of a jesting face around it, just like the carnival stand-in photos. Soon after that, another hole followed, featuring a royal design, complete with a crown and a red robe, becoming Bogart’s favored spot.

Little did Bogart’s mom know that her dogs would take the internet by storm as they did. A brief video of Bogart peeking through his king hole, filmed by locals, soon spread like wildfire in Denmark and beyond.

“I’m astounded that my little dog has become an internet sensation, all because he looks goofy,” said Bogart’s mom.
