On October 27, a worker at Santa Rosa Junior College came upon a two-pound injured dog left in a nearby parking lot. The little Chihuahua was in excruciating discomfort because its front legs were hurt.
The cute puppy was thankfully taken to the Sonoma County Animal Services for care, where two pink casts were applied to her legs. A 14-week-old Chihuahua named Darla weighed barely 2 pounds at the time. Her legs were fixed during surgery, and she was expected to make a full recovery.
She was fostered to complete her rehabilitation and would be prepared for adoption after she had fully recovered, according to Dr. Dan Famini, who published her story online. What a triumphant end! Check out the video below.
