A cute puppy who was later given the name Bella lived her entire life in a municipal shelter.

Dog shelters in Romania differ from those in the United States. The dogs are frequently kept outside in unfavorable conditions. Because of Romania’s poverty, the shelters do not receive enough food from donations, which prevents the dogs from eating as much as they should.

Bella was scared and underweight. She had never received a hug or any affection before. Her stay at the shelter was destroying her spirit.
