Elizabeth the Queen was a devoted animal lover. Her beloved horses and dogs didn’t give a damn that she was the Queen, according to those who knew her, so she understood the unconditional love that animals can give.

After being advised “no more riding” by her doctors, the Queen was reportedly back in the saddle as late as July.

The monarch received a new furry family member at the age of 95. During her reign, Her Majesty has produced over 30 dogs and said a lot of heartbreaking farewells, including the passing of her cherished Corgi puppy in May 2021.

The Queen had four dogs at the time of her death: two corgis, one Dorgi, and a brand-new cocker spaniel. The oldest dog, a Dorgi named Candy, was thought to be at least 10 years old.

The Dorgi, a cross between a Dachshund and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, is said to have been invented by the Queen herself. It’s what happens with the Royals, as evidenced by the fact that one of Elizabeth’s corgis mated with Princess Margaret’s Dachshund Pipkin to create this hybrid.

Although the location of her many horses and pets is unknown, they will undoubtedly receive first-rate care.
