Brad, a dog with a heart of gold and a spirit that refuses to break, has faced many obstacles. Found wandering the streets of Houston, he bore the scars of hardship – a damaged tail and evident pain. Yet, when his rescuers approached, Brad greeted them with nothing but warmth and trust. Later, they learned of his deafness, further complicating his path to a forever home.

His resilience was tested over two years in a rescue shelter, followed by a stint in a prison canine training program in Canyon City, Colorado. Here, he mastered hand signals, bridging the communication gap caused by his deafness. An initial adoption seemed like a promising fresh start, but it was short-lived as he was returned to a boarding facility.

That’s when destiny introduced him to Lisa. Fresh from seeing her last foster dog adopted, Lisa felt a connection with Brad that she couldn’t ignore. By November, Brad found his permanent home with her. Always radiating positivity, Brad has some endearing quirks; he lounges in the bathtub and often sleeps with a back leg amusingly draped over his face.
