In the chill of winter, when every breath turns to mist and the cold seeps into every bone, a small, brave soul named Ace found himself in a predicament that tugged at the heartstrings of many. Known affectionately as the ‘Little Bear,’ Ace was a sweet puppy with eyes full of hope, waiting in a store parking lot for someone to notice his plight.

As shoppers passed by, wrapped in their warm coats, Ace looked up at them with a plea for kindness, a silent request to be taken to a place where the cold couldn’t reach him. Despite his furry coat, the cold ground offered little comfort, and the bustling world seemed to overlook this gentle spirit seeking shelter.

One shopper, Tsosie, got closer to the puppy and he ran and hid behind of its wheels.

She took the puppy and later named him Ace. She searched for his family but there was no one to be found. While she was holding Ace in her arms, he looked at her with his sad puppy eyes.

Determined to ensure the puppy found a home filled with love, Tsosie reached out to  Az Hidden Jem Rescue located in Phoenix, Arizona. The rescue organization eagerly agreed to welcome Ace into their fold.

Upon viewing the footage of his rescue, they instantly became enamored with the charming little dog.

Describing him as resembling a small bear, filled with confusion, Az Hidden Jem Rescue shared their initial impressions on Instagram.

Promptly, they arranged for Ace’s transport to a veterinary clinic on the very day of his rescue. There, a dedicated veterinary team conducted an extensive health evaluation, diagnosing Ace with mange.

They promptly prescribed the appropriate treatment for the adorable pup.

A New Beginning in Foster Care

In Phoenix, the rescue found an ideal foster home for the puppy, where he was warmly received. His foster family provided him with exceptional care, embracing him as one of their own.

Despite his treatment for mange, Ace’s spirits remained high, unaffected by his condition.

He quickly adapted to his foster life, basking in the love and care lavished upon him by his foster family.

His days were filled with joy, playing alongside his new playmates – a delightful bunch of kittens.

With his recovery on the horizon, Ace looks forward to the day he can begin the search for his permanent home. There’s little doubt that he will captivate the hearts of a loving family eager to offer him the affection and care he so rightfully deserves.
