Cats are known to climb on high places, as they feel safer up there, having a great view of everything around them.

However, some high spots can be extremely dangerous for them, leaving us to wonder how they managed to get there in the first place.

The same thing happened when someone spotted this ginger cat high up on a building, instantly calling Little Wanderers, an animal rescue in New York, for help.

Upon arriving at the scene, rescuers found the orange tabby cat in a distressed state, stranded on a corner of the building. 

Although the circumstances of how she got there remained a mystery, it was discovered that she had become entangled in a wheelchair forklift, injuring her paws in her attempts to free herself.

Frozen in fear, the poor feline awaited rescue, hoping for someone to intervene swiftly. Little Wanderers shared:

“She was scared out of her mind. The good veterinary staff at Veterinary Emergency Group got right to work to help her.”

With gentle hands, the rescue team liberated the cat and promptly tended to her injuries, ensuring she received the medical attention she desperately needed.

They arranged a foster home where she could continue her journey to recovery and socialization, affectionately naming her Fox.

Under the care of her foster parent, Fox received a complete makeover, appearing clean and well-cared-for. However, the trauma she endured left her withdrawn and fearful.

Determined not to give up on her, her foster parent patiently coaxed her out of her shell, encouraging her to eat, drink, and trust once more. 

Slowly but surely, Fox began to relax, even venturing to approach her foster mom. The moment she nestled into her foster mom’s lap for the first time signified a breakthrough, indicating Fox’s newfound trust.

With each passing day, Fox’s personality blossomed, revealing her adventurous and playful side. Her foster mom said:

“She had her foster toy the other day and didn’t know quite what to do with it but started to play with it. It was the sweetest thing.”

After two weeks into foster care, Fox completely came out of her shell and blossomed into an affectionate kitty who loves to cuddle most of all. Her foster mom added:

“It turns out she is friendly. She surprised us all, and we are so proud of her.”

Fox’s transformation was nothing short of remarkable. From a life of struggle on the streets to being rescued from a perilous height, she now embraced her new life with open arms.

Fortunately, Fox didn’t have to wait long for her forever family to find her. Cliff and Julius were captivated by her story and knew they had to bring her into their home. Cliff remarked:

“From the moment we met Fox and brought her home, she has melted our hearts.”

Upon her arrival, Fox was initially reserved, finding solace in observing her new environment. However, it didn’t take long for her to seek out affection, snuggling beside Cliff on her first night.

Now, Fox settled into her new home and is very affectionate. She always follows her humans around the house, and she doesn’t hesitate to hop and sit on their lap.

Whether basking in the sunlight by the window or playfully frolicking with her toys, Fox revels in every moment of her newfound happiness, a testament to the love and care she received after years of hardship.
