Ronald, the ‘unlucky’ Dog, Has Finally Found a Home After 14 Failed Adoptions

Every dog in a shelter hopes to find their very own forever home, and while shelters make every effort to do so, adoption isn’t always simple. Some animals take a very long time to find the ideal home, and occasionally adoptions go sour.

We told you last week about Ronald, a dog that experienced a particularly poor “unlucky streak” after 14 adoption attempts failed. But he never gave up trying. and now this lovely puppy has at last located a home!

A young, adorable 63-pound dog named Ronald was at the Wake County SPCA. However, due to his size, luck was not on his favor. He may knock people over if he jumps up because of his big stature and strength. As a puppy, he can also be a little bit mouthy. Because of these factors, he required a family that was ready to train him slowly and not be put off by his size.

As a result, Ronald’s unfortunate experiences were shared on social media by the animal shelter, who also urged people to adopt him. They anticipated that people would find it difficult to resist his beautiful puppy face.

A bad streak! This sweet boy has had 14 failed adoptions, most frequently as a result of being too big or powerful. He is indeed a big boy! Despite his bulk, he barely weighs 63 lbs. Ronald is completely nice, understands his directions, and treats with extreme care. He really is a really good boy, according to the Wake County SPCA.

Ronald’s fortune improved when the article became viral. The shelter was aware that at least one of the many applicants for adoption had to be a great match for Ronald.

A few days later, the shelter made the announcement that Ronald had finally found his permanent family, ending his string of bad luck. Ronald appears to be happier than ever in the pictures that the SPCA shared of him with his new owners. According to his family, he gets along well with the kids and is the center of attention. It appears that this adoption will be the one that lasts.

“Thank you all so much for reading Ronald’s tale; we were moved by your encouraging comments and kind offers to lend a hand. The broad appeal of your shares allowed Ronald to connect with nearly a million individuals on the first day. His entire environment abruptly and drastically altered. The ability you all have to alter a life with the mere touch of a keyboard never ceases to amaze us! wrote the shelter.

Ronald is only one of the many canines at the shelter waiting for a home, though. All breeds, ages, and energy levels of dogs, including 3-year-old Siri, who has been looking for a family for 400 days, are available for adoption, according to the staff. Check out some of the SPCA’s adoptable dogs if you’re searching for a new family member close to Garner, North Carolina.
