Since there are so many dogs in shelters, their shared desire is to find their forever homes. Tragically, some people might have to wait longer than others.

Due to their breed, age, appearance, or health issues, many dogs are sometimes rejected by adopters in favor of younger, more aesthetically pleasing puppies.

However, occasionally a decent person comes along and offers their heart to these pets. One shelter pit bull was cared for by a 2-year-old girl who chose him from among all the other dogs there.When Audra Spurio took her 2-year-old daughter to the shelter to adopt a dog, she never anticipated being pulled to a sick and mangey pit bull. The young child persisted nonetheless, realizing that the dog required some affection. The Dodo quoted Audra as saying, “My kid wanted to meet her more than any other dog at the shelter that day.” The young child insisted, “Mommy, that one,” even though the dog “stunk like mange.”“Let the dog outside. Need help,” Gigi said.

So the child got her wish, and Gigi allowed the pit bull to play outside. The youngster was usually gentle and patient, but the dog was timid and fearful.

Many children might have been “grossed out” by the dog’s conditions, but Gigi just saw a friend that needed help.

The girl kissed and rubbed the dog’s stomach while they were playing outside, demonstrating their instant connection.

Audra remarked, “I saw this scared puppy melt in G’s hands. She would not let go of my daughter.Gigi urged her mother to bring the pit bull home so they could take care of her when she was brought back to her kennel. The two-year-old instructs, “Sick doggie, go home.”

Fortunately, the young girl realized her ambition. Out of all the pets at the shelter that day, the sick pit bull won her heart, and the dog—now known as Scarlett—is now in her new home.

Scarlett is currently back home and doing much better, according to Audra, who spoke to The Dodo. “She still has G in her sights.”

Nearly 14 million people have watched the lovely story on YouTube, and many viewers are upbeat about the future because of Gigi and her concern for animals.
