The furry one had already been adopted, but because it was so challenging to care for, they had to give it back. For months, no one was willing to give her a chance. Only then did she find someone who cared about her.
The American rescue group Humane Rescue Alliance doesn’t believe in giving up on the puppies it saves, therefore they were ready to offer Fiona once more. The furry girl has crushing syndrome, which causes her to urinate frequently, lose her hair, need expensive medications, and have a stomach that touches the ground.
She became a unique prospect in the eyes of families looking to adopt a dog as a result of all of this. She had been adopted in January of this year, but by August she was back at the shelter. Though they were aware that giving her up for adoption would be painful, the volunteers remained committed to helping her.
When the young child reached out to pet the dog, a volunteer offered her a slice of cheese to chop into small pieces and give to Fiona. The girl ignored it, though, and gave the hairy Dela the entire slice of cheese in the hopes that she would be delighted right away.
The girl’s mother started crying as she realized right away that she wanted to adopt the puppy. Since her 19-year-old son was injured in an accident when he was six years old, leaving him with a speech impediment as well as an intellectual disability, Monica has experienced rejection.
They would no longer get a cat, but a lovely dog instead because the woman knew what Fiona had gone through. The following morning, everyone at the rescue organization bid a tearful farewell to the furry girl who had been there for 120 days.
