Braνe Dog Risked His Life By Taƙing Four Bullets To Saνe His Owner From Armed Robbers

Although they shot him three times, he wouldn’t allow them to approach his son.

German Shepherd named Rex resides with his family in Washington state. The dog put his life in danger last week to save his 16-year-old brother Javier. And Rex should be hailed as a hero for that.

Rex and Javier were at home alone on Wednesday afternoon when two robbers entered. According to Q13 Fox News, out of fear, Javier ran upstairs and hid in a bedroom closet while speaking with police.

Rex, meanwhile, resisted giving in.

The dog allegedly approached the intruders before they attacked him, according to Javier’s aunt. The dog continued to fight as he ran away.

Rex hurried back to the top level to check on his master, who was still cowering in the closet, Susy Cadena wrote, “all bruised up and bloodied from the beating.” “The robbers quickly went upstairs and destroyed every bedroom. Rex, aware that my nephew was in danger, threw himself at them with what little strength he still had as they drew near the room where my nephew was hiding in the closet.”

After that, the robbers started shooting at Rex, striking him at least three times. After that, they fled the area, leaving Javier unharmed.

Rex’s new conflict started.

When the authorities showed up, Rex was taken to the BluePearl Veterinary Clinic in Renton. He had been stabilized, but to save him, he would need surgery, which Rex’s family couldn’t afford on their own.

At that point, a large number of strangers stepped in to help.

To cover Rex’s medical costs, Cadena started a GoFundMe campaign with a $10,000 goal. In just a few days, donations totaling more than $60,000 had been received.

On Friday, Rex underwent the procedure required to preserve his life.

Thankfully, the procedure went smoothly.

On Sunday, Rex was authorized for discharge. He’s now back home, where the people who care about him the most will help him get better.

The Dodo quoted Rex’s family as saying, “Thank God, Rex is doing lot better.” “He won’t return to the wonderful dog he once was without a lot of care, tolerance, and love from all of us. Never, however, doubt that we will exert every effort to get him there as soon as we can.”
