One of the most devoted animals, dogs may show you their unrestricted love. They are devoted to the families they reside with and guard them fiercely.
Recently, a German Shepherd almost lost its owner while saving him from a robbery. According to Mail Online, the incident happened in South Africa when Gino Wensel and his dog, Duke, went for a walk.
However, a short while later, he saw a man coming toward him carrying a knife. Duke grewled at the robber as soon as he caught sight of him. The thief attempted to stop it by stabbing Duke in the skull, severely hurting it.
In contrast, Duke remained steadfast and continued to bark at the thief, driving him away until collapsing in a pool of blood. Wensel initially believed the warrior was dead and that he had lost his dog.
He drove Duke to the South African Animal Welfare Society with the help of a buddy (AWSSA). Fortunately, the vet at the clinic saved Duke after the knife’s blade just missed his brain by millimeters. Wensel was unemployed and had very little money, therefore Duke’s care was provided without charge.
The doctors in the hospital remarked, “Their bond is so precious, and being able to save Duke and give him back to Gino was just great.”
