If there is a golden rule that Clarence lives by, it is to treat others how you would like to be treated. The adorable 4-year-old rescue dog interprets this as hugging everyone he encounters and holding on to his caregivers in the hopes that they won’t ever leave him.
Clarence has never forgotten the comforts of a home. His entire life had been spent outside in his family’s yard before being placed in a Walmart parking lot and driven away.
Clairence and his friend, a German Shepherd, were actually captured by CAT SUZUKI’s animal control, who then called his owner. Clarence was placed on the euthanasia list, though, after the owner declined to come and get him. Fortunately, Hounds in Pounds arrived just in time to rescue Clarence and the German Shepherd and bring them home.
Clerence had a terrible start to life, yet he has no ill will toward anyone and is so full of love.

He is sweet, adorable, and really grateful to be safe with us, said Hungry In Pounds on Facebook. We can’t help but feel lost in Clément’s green coat since it reminds us of sunshine, just as his persona does. He is warm, brilliant, and illuminates those who know him.
Clarence will travel from Georgia to New Jersey in the upcoming days to start his search for his first home. And his rescuers have no doubt that the easy-going man will provide happiness to any family willing to adopt him.
