In California, an 8-month-old pit bull is being hailed as a hero after informing her family of a fire in their apartment building and rescuing their 7-month-old daughter by tugging her by her diaper.

Sasha, Nana Chaichanhda’s dog, responded quickly when fires broke out in the complex where she claimed to live in Stockton, California. “She began banging on the rear door,” a witness said.

When I open it and she enters, she begins barking angrily at me, that’s when I know this is strange. This is not how she usually acts.” Chaichanhda provided FOX40 with an explanation.

Chaichanhda quickly grabbed her 7-month-old child after noticing that a section of the apartment complex was on fire. Sasha, however, entered the room and started attempting to assist the little child as soon as she was there.

The mother told FOX40 that the child was “grabbed by the diaper and started being dragged off the bed.” Oh God, what in the world are you doing? I raised a query.

Sasha saved the family and helped them escape the flat safely. FOX40 reports that Chaichanhda’s home is now uninhabitable due to the fire damage.

Currently, Chaichanhda, her infant Sasha, and her cousin, whose apartment was also damaged by the fire, are staying with an aunt who also resides in a part of the building that was unaffected by the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the Stockton Incident Department, which spoke with FOX40.

Speaking of Sasha, Chaichanhda did. The situation could have been lot worse and I may still be in bed.
